Pre Care
Properly preparing your skin is crucial and plays a significant role in achieving optimal results. We want you to feel confident and informed every step of the way.
- Avoid alcohol, aspirin/ibuprofen, and any medications or vitamins that may thin your blood for 72 hours before your appointment. This will help minimize bleeding during the procedure.
- Avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning before the procedure, as it can affect the color and healing process.
- No waxing or tweezing. Let your eyebrows grow in their natural state. Avoid waxing or tweezing for at least a week before microblading to provide the technician with a clear canvas.
- Avoid face scrubs, chemical peels, and Botox/filler for at least two weeks prior to your appointment.
- Feel free to arrive wearing your everyday brow makeup so we can get a sense of your preferred look. Reference pictures of shapes and colors of brows are always welcomed. Together, we'll create the perfect set of brows tailored just for you!
After Care
Proper aftercare is crucial for the success of your microbladed brows. It helps promote proper healing, minimize discomfort, and ensure optimal results.
THE FOLLOWING MUST BE AVOIDED FOR 10 - 15 DAYS POST MICROBLADING PROCEDURE:
- Activities that will cause increased sweating, sports, swimming, hot saunas, hot baths, or Jacuzzis..
- Sun tanning or salon tanning, as this can cause fading. Once completely healed, always apply a layer of sunscreen (SPF 30 up to SPF 50) to your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Sun exposure may cause the colour pigment to fade away more quickly.
- Any peelings, laser, or chemical treatments. Any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic Acid on the face or neck.
- Picking, peeling, or scratching of the micro pigmented area as this may cause scarring or removal of the pigment.
- Performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning in areas with a lot of airborne particles or debris (such as in a garage or basement).
- Smoking and drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds.
